Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus

Ballet

From Baby Ballet through the graded syllabus to Pointe, building strong technique and artistry.

Ballet at McCaw follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. Our youngest dancers start in Baby Ballet, where the focus is on enjoying music and movement, then progress through Pre-Primary, Primary and the graded classes.

As students develop, classes build the strength, placement and musicality that underpin every other style. Older students work towards Intermediate and Pointe work, with the option to take RAD examinations.
